90 Player SnG Replay (2)

Sunday, June 21st, 2009 | Hand Replay | No Comments

This is another SnG I was playing.  Little more active then the other game but not much as this is still the same level of poker.  As with 90 Player SnG Replay 1 I am looking for places to pick up chips and steal pots.  I would have won this game if not for my flopped nut flush didn’t get rivered.  I fought back hard actually from that point and kept composure. › Continue reading

90 Player SnG Replay (1)

Sunday, June 21st, 2009 | Hand Replay | 1 Comment

I was playing 4 tables at once when this 90 Player SnG game started.
Finished in 6th place, although my last hand played was rather brutal decision but none the less I was shooting for first.  This replay is to show you how to play with position and looking for spots to steal chips.

PokerStars Record Game

Sunday, December 28th, 2008 | Tournaments | 3 Comments

If you read the forum promotions board, you will have seen I put the info
for the PokerStars World Record Attempt, 35,000 entrants was the goal.
It was easily done with more then  a day to go before the game started,
you could have even got in on some cheap satellites.
Here was your chance to make history and get into the Guinness Book of World Records.

My goal to start was to get into the money, and advance from there.  Although I did want to get good cards early but that didn’t happen.  I did start at a decent table too, where it was poker being played not a freeroll type style.  Managing to double up a couple times when I was short stacked, I coasted into the money.

Then I played to move up positions, wasn’t easy because the small stacks that were lower then mine just pushed so I looked for some opportunities for me to get my chips in the middle with some isolation.  Seems the hand of the night for me was Ace Seven, look at the images below :) slurp.

PokerStars Record Attempt

World Record Attempt on Poker Stars

This is an official attempt at the Guinness world record for

World’s Largest Poker Tournament
with $500,000 guaranteed max entrants is set: 35,000
Date: December 28th, 2008 15:30 ET
Buyin: $10 + $1
Location: PokerStars

This not only a chance to get into the Guinness record books, but it could turn out to be a really good game.  If you take into consideration that it is only an $11 buyin, with blinds at 10mins, there is going to be a lot of Donkeys in this game.

Tis the season to be wasted…. many players might just fire up the PC, after pouring that glass of eggnog and rum, or their favorite seasonal drink to just say they were a participant.
Heck, I might even do that… lol

Really tho, look at the overlay on this game, $150,000.

Game 11: PokerStars $10 Buyin

45 Entrants, paying the top 9…eeek

This has to be one of the most boring tournaments ever…
we have lost 1/2 the field and I don’t even remember playing a “hand”
now we are all in the points… so everyone is bleeding to the bubble?
yet only top 9 pays…

was doing 3 tables while in this one…

hmm now I am out in 23rd

Marathon Game 1

Game 1: Pokerstars $100 Freeroll

Had KQ early, and hit top pair, and called some bets to get rivered to a straight, ‘Boardtalk’ put a stiff bet on the river and I thought if I could win this decent pot early, well then I would have some chips to play with and make some moves.

Was getting some weak cards, so playing tight.  Then had it fold around to me in the big blind, actually wanted to see some action but oh well.  Finally started hitting flops picking up small pots.  Then got dealt pocket 9′s. Low stack pushed all in with AK and I took down that pot.

Under the gun, with QQ, raise to 500, bb is 100.  A re raise, I call, hoping he has under pair.  Eyekall has AA, hits the set on the turn.

A Full Day of Cards

Sunday, September 14th, 2008 | HR Shows | No Comments

It’s days like this Sat where I am glad I am not human, as it allows me to get in a full day of playing cards.  The day actually started off by getting an email of a tournament where I finished 48th place…. but I was sat out the entire time.  Good Start.

Went on to play the Holdem Radio freeroll, and the buy in.  I was feeling good, real good about my game too.  The freeroll didn’t produce any results, so it was all up to the buyin.  Second hand in, dealt AA…w00t w00t.

Raised it up to 500, and got a caller….
flop was very low but the pre flop raiser was determined to call his king high flush draw, and 2 over cards, and to make a short story long, I made a the play on the turn with a re raise and he pushed it all in and hit the diamond flush on the river.  First one out.

The UK Football Fans had there small tournament with 13 runners on Stars, I jumped in cause I wanted to knock Khayless around, I have a feeling he thinks I am a donkey….. oh but I am, I’ll prove that later…

The UKFF game was a great game on Poker Stars, I cashed 3rd after we almost spent literally an hour playing the bubble.  I was on yahoo pumping out my current stats of the game while playing and explaining some of the numbers, she is catching on ;)   here are those final numbers.
During current Hold’em session you were dealt 216 hands and saw flop:
- 13 out of 46 times while in big blind (28%)
- 5 out of 46 times while in small blind (10%)
- 15 out of 124 times in other positions (12%)
- a total of 33 out of 216 (15%)

Bounty Time, with your hosts, Assistanc3, Cydott and BigChick.
….oh boy “good luck AJ” the crowd was saying, “thanks I need it” I replied.

Another great game, bounties are always fun, adds that little something to mix up the boredom of poker that sometimes settles in.  I final tabled, with no bounties and went out 9th.  While your other host Cydott won.  Congrats dott, and great show to you and BC.

The Midnight Game
Here is where I prove I am a donkey, or maybe I am just playing cards.
A picture is worth a 1000 words so here it is…
